Tour of Homes - 3pm to 8pm
Holiday Market & Cafe - 12pm to 6pm

Christmas is an amazing time here in Avondale Estates and the Tour of Homes and Holiday Market add to the wonderful feeling of the holiday.  This year trolleys will be back in town to take visitors from house to house. Pick up the trolley at the Avondale First Baptist Church at the corner of Covington and Stratford Roads. (Reserve a seat by contacting This email address is being protected from spambots. Before touring, visit the Avondale Community Club where you can purchase or pick up tickets. Take time to visit our fabulous Holiday Market & Café featuring great foods, unique gifts, and fun finds.

Our 25th annual tour features homes that have been sensitively restored or renovated to preserve the character of our historic city. This year’s tour spans almost 90 years beginning with an Avondale “original” built when the city was established in 1926, a thirties bungalow, a forties Colonial Revival, two recently renovated 50s bungalows, and a new Arts and Craft home built in 2015. A point of interest on the tour includes the Little Tree Art Studios, located in the burgeoning Rail Arts District. Over 25 established and emerging artists working in a variety of disciplines will be showing their work. Other points of interest include the Avondale First Baptist Church where you can pick up a trolley for the tour and the Avondale Community Club which houses the Holiday Market from noon-6:00.

Nearly everyone in town participates in the tour and market either by opening their homes, decorating the city, volunteering as hosts and hostesses, playing music, entertaining visitors on the trolleys, creating something for the market, sponsoring the tour as corporate sponsors or as Christmas “angels,” or just enjoying touring the homes.

Tickets may be purchased for $15 in advance at Avondale City Hall, Finders Keepers Furniture, REAL Salon and Garage Door Studio or for $20 on the day of the tour at the Avondale Community Club.

We hope to see you in town on December 10 th!
